Anyone else find it odd that a World Cup in a Middle Eastern Muslim nation that paid billions to host a World Cup has a high amount of upsets between Muslim nations and western non-Muslim nations? Qatar still got eliminated but….I don’t know. Just seems like a World Cup fraught with this much corruption wouldn’t shy away from influencing game results too.

You’re onto something here. Upsets such as the Muslim Khalifate of Japan over Germany are strange indeed, must be all that Arab money paying for it. I mean we can also ignore the results from Tunisia, Qatar and Saudi’s loss to Poland but I get your point.

That’s why Qatar is losing all of the games… it’s probably because there are a lot of Middle Eastern fans at the games

Stop overthinking. If there was corruption involved, Qatar wouldn’t have been the first team to be eliminated.

Perhaps some of the nations are just inspired. I can def see western nations put off too bc of the amount of stuff they need to address before each game.

It was homefield advantage because they had way more fans in the stadium cheering for them.
