Saturday can’t coach on a Sunday, they’re entirely different days!

He has no coaching experience. Things are very different when you're the one in charge of everything, not just the players. I don't think this experiment ends well.

I have to think Irsay just wants a ra ra guy to stop the team from imploding completely

Colts name a former player head coach who has not even been on the Manningcast yet. What's up with that.

They're tanking. This may be the most obvious example of that the NFL has ever seen. You don't put a guy that's never coached, period, in as a head coach all of a sudden, alongside a quarterback who seems questionably able to throw a football in the general vicinity of a player on your own team

Eh you seem ok on ESPN commentary, come coach the team! Let the tanking begin.

Still waiting for that NFL draft lottery. I know people say, “Hey, NFL teams don’t tank - the game is too violent to not try to win every week.” Even if you believe that, the highest picks should be randomized so the same cellar dwellers don’t get the highest picks every year.

Never trust someone with two first names or with a day of the week for a name!!!!!

Bill Sunday is next in line. I’m looking forward to the power struggle from within.

He's a talking head on ESPN, and a good one at that, he had some very entertaining segments like handing out Pancakes and the like. It's about time a talking head got a head coaching job.

Imagine Jim Rome or Steven A. Smith trying to be a head coach in the NFL. At least Saturday is putting his money where his mouth is. It was funny watching ESPN today because they had planned segments for him, but he ran off to Indianapolis already.

Does Peyton Manning have no interest in head coaching? He’s been calling amazing games for years, although it was on the field.

As a colts fan I am glad that he is gone. He started off well with the team but he just crashed and burned after rivers. Surprise we even made the playoffs with his old ass.
