Named after the soldiers that stand guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier? I like it! I have been trying to think of a name that sounds decent and applies to the area.

I always wanted them to be the Sentinels because of The Replacements, which is loosely based on Washington's strike-shortened championship season. Get Gene Hackman and Keanu Reeves voiceovers on video packages on game day.

It's honestly insane it didn't happen. They could have Keanu run out in full pads and uniform with the team at the first home game and people would lose their mind

This seems tacky to me at best. Football is a fun sport for entertainment purposes. I don’t know that we should compare them to guardians of the soldiers who were lost but never found in war.
