Jabs vs hard hooks or uppercuts, some have more power and some setup other shots and probe defenses. Dray’s was a haymaker.

My comment was more to point out that it’s unacceptable because he threw a punch. The type of punch is irrelevant. The person I was replying to said he threw the punch to inflict damage which is generally the point of a punch. It was redundant.

True but some punches have deadly intent like haymakers to the head or sucker punches. Little jabs or body shots are less likely to cause serious injuries but intent is to hurt regardless.
