Protesting Israel’s actions in Palestine is commendable as there is obvious concerns about the treatment of Palestinians. Disappointing all the same that Indonesia won’t get to host the U20 WC.

The argument about football being separate from politics is there to be had but when people are being removed from their homes and treated as poorly as the Palestinians are being treated, it can’t be avoided in my opinion.

It’s ironic considering Indonesia still recognises Russia, China and Burma…. But they don’t fit the narrative do they?

I’m hoping the down voting was for this and not the fact that I’m agreeing that Palestinians are being being treated poorly by the Israeli regime…which they most certainly are.

If one country restricts the movements and ability to practice of a different country’s players, it can’t be allowed to participate in international competition. This should bar Russia and Israel from all World Cup and Olympic events until they withdraw from their occupations.
