PL definitely doesn't have the most fanatic fans, it's known to be purposefully rather gentrified.
And being invented in England doesn't make it a natural consequence to be highest in revenue.

The move to all seater stadia in England was detrimental to crowds, because safe standing was never considered. Cost of matches are sky high and have effectively priced out the working class.
Sky deals of the earlier 90s was the luck the English league needed. I feel like the early 2000s had the best equality across the top leagues.
