Better question: is extraterrestrial life a cluster of AI's? Or, Will our AI's be the only reason extraterrestrials want to visit?

Once the machines are learned, they will know and we be fucked.

My latest thinking on it is we won't be doing anything until we are downloadable.

Quantum Computing- 10 years, 50, or 1000 years from now to never, I rule out never because it's happening, is a fundamental outcome of evolution, and once fully replicated we are off to meet the aliens, just one little stumbling block a vexing thing called lightspeed.

As we have no data of what can be observed if extraterrestrial life is found, we can’t train ML what to look for. We will have to imagine what would happen and directly specify that to an AI system to help looking. But it will be based on our imagination, not data.

After we have observed and ascertained extraterrestrial life enough time to collect facts, we can start using ML to tell AI what to look for. How many observations? That depends on what those observations are. All the same or all different.

yeah again that brings me back to the discussion of are we a simulation, and again the fermi paradox comes into play. If we are an AI / simulation, where's the civilization that made us! I feel that we're gonna be the people who make a simulation reality in the near future.

I just saw a clip on tiktok saying AI had already identified several possible radio sources near our solar system that had been previously undetected (from older data)
