earthman34 t1_j222uuq wrote on December 29, 2022 at 2:21 AM Oxygen supports combustion. Most other gases don't. You can't combust hydrogen without oxygen, it's already the simplest element. Helium is an inert gas like nitrogen. For life to take place chemical reactions need to take place. Permalink 1
