Going to mars unprepared is suicidal and idiotic. We need to learn how to survive away from earth for prolonged periods of time. The moon is the perfect training ground.

Extreme risk aversion does not serve explorers well. Guess what? It’s gonna be a dicey proposition no matter when we start sending people to Mars. We will 100% lose missions. Gotta bite the bullet and start trying.

Well we need to build a transit stop to help us go the distance that far. Gas stations are pretty boring but we’re not going the distance without them.
