I feel like Japan is always the quiet achiever in space. It’s always “Japan launched X, Japan provided Y” without any particular fanfare. They do a great job.

Japan's come a long way

Their vehicles are incredible, especially considering the postwar restrictions that they were forced into way back when

Tbh, that's true for anyone beside the US. Whenever Nasa or SpaceX does anything, you'd think we found a cure for cancer.

Meanwhile, India, the EU, Japan and China just get on with it without much fuss. Hell, even those 4 get some press, I probably forgot a bunch more. I think Zimbabwe recently launch a satellite ? (Well, on a foreigner rocket)

There is plenty of fuss when China launches something as the world is concerned where the debris will land.

Lol maybe for people who dont follow space news. Its why they wouldnt know the USSR landed on Venus, China has a new space station, and India just launched their first privately built rocket.

But then again, we cant really expect people to know everything about everything ongoing in the world.

I guess that’s why I like some of my favourite YouTubers who cover some of the smaller launch providers like Tim Dodd and Marcus House.

Rwanda is another country that I feel like nobody pays attention too. We will wake up one day and they will have a full on space program.
