Who do you sue for malpractice when it's wrong?

I agrée,

But, I can see it looking at a picture of a mole and then comparing it with millions of others and telling you exactly what it is, that and having an Apple Watch checking your readings. You medical history in a database and it would come up with a very clear diagnosis that it would sent to your doctor fir review

The AI would not be diagnosing you nor writing prescriptions or referrals. Just like when I get an X-ray and the technician sees a very clear fracture, he can't diagnose me accordingly. He notes what he sees and sends it to the provider who makes the final call. AI will be very much the same.

You're right. Many healthcare professionals will end up losing their jobs, including physicians themselves, since much more work will be doable by AI. I had wanted to go to PA school, only to have my dreams dashed due to discrimination for having autism, but you've now made me realize I probably would have been replaced shortly anyways. Thank you for that.

Lol, absolutely not. No company is going to take on that legal liability. Maybe in the far future but doctors are one of the last that will be automated since it involves people's lives and there are very strict regulations.

And I know you said "may not replace a doctor", but if they are diagnosing and treating you then that is the function of a doctor.

Due to liability and regulations, medical AI will be a tool for doctors and nurses, not patients. At least until it is considered old and reliable.

Lmao GPT4 will not be diagnosing and treating people lmao. At least, not anything more official than just asking for advice which ChatGPT can already do. IT has nothing to do with ability and everything to do with regulations and liability.

I sincerely hope we're not stupid enough to do that.
