I understand that the general impression of ChatGPT is that it is an "immediate danger" that may cause people to be partially or completely replaced in some jobs, but this negative view is far from its main ramifications. The main implication of the proliferation of ChatGPT and similar language paradigms, which I am most excited about, is its ability to "maximize individual impact."
What I mean by this is that it will give individuals - those who are really talented, as well as those with a desire to learn - an exceptional ability to complete projects on their own that in the past required a whole team. ChatGPT is a "multidisciplinary team" that an individual can use on their own adventures, so instead of waiting for a team to build up to test a startup idea, He can do it on his own. This represents a Paradigm Shift. The inevitable result of this is a new era in which knowledge 'breadth' takes precedence over depth, and understanding the 'big picture' takes priority over focus on detail.
In other words, the rise of the Generalists at the expense of the Specialists, whose role will be played by ChatGPT and similar models that will come later.
