I'm kind of impressed that they're considering these things before they become major issues. Often with new technology, basic, common sense regulation can be years behind it becoming common place.

This tech was out 6 years ago , it’s too late to stop it. They would have to prove individuals that the person didn’t know it was deep fake and after awhile they will drop it.

It probably wouldn't be used to charge individuals in many cases but rather to discourage sites from hosting it. You can't stop every instance, but you can make it so it's not the new number one category on pornhub.

There are rings of individuals who do this, targeting specific individuals around town. It’s a thing.
This isn’t about locking people up for accidentally sharing, it’s about the organised groups who snap pictures of specific people at the gym or in macdonalds or wherever. It’s super creepy.
