I have seen some forward that they believe you cannot gradually replace the biological brain with synthetic neurons. I'm curious where everyone believes that an individual's death occurs if this procedure of replacing your brain with synthetic neurons in its place is performed gradually, as opposed to a sudden and abrupt total replacement.
I personally feel that 100% synthetic replacement is possible if done gradually as the brain has some plasticity and is able to rewire itself to a degree given enough time. There are many examples of individuals who were able to continue to live having lost a large portion of their brain.
