Reminder that we need about 100,000 to 1,000,000 qubits for the first practical applications of Quantum Computing, so don't get your hopes up just yet. It's still at least a decade of exponential growth away.

Yeah, still quite a ways off from those numbers. IBM's roadmap (as shown in this article) puts them at a little over 4,000 qbits in 2025. The same roadmap does suggest that they think they'll be running actual applications on these machines in the same timeframe, though.

Once we combine a 1,000,000 qubit quantum computer with a proto-AGI. Technological advancement in this century will never be the same.
