"It's like 'hacking' the nervous system to receive a different response to the real stimulus sent."
Now if only this was possible today for all of our senses, then we'd have full dive virtual reality.
But this is important progress towards that goal. I'm excited to experience this myself.

What are the 2 extra senses we have 👀 seeing, smelling, touching, tasting, hearing and?...

I was thinking of kinesthesia and proprioception, but after further research, I learned there's even more senses. I recommend watching this video detailing more senses.

What? How is this remotely related to full dive reality? This wouldn’t be much of a leap from bone conduction earphones it’s just can deliver vibrations way further than the ear…….plus full dive reality would be hella Risky if it ever came true imagine someone hacked your brain chip and made you live in hell for eternity? Not worth the risk

The groundwork has to be made for any technology to be created, and enabling "the nervous system to receive a different response to the real stimulus" sounds like impressive progress to me, even though there's still clearly a lot of work that has to be done before full dive virtual reality can be developed.
Also, I'm "hella" excited for full dive VR, and assuming the worst case scenario is inevitable (which I think is unlikely) is just a lazy way to justify not thinking about it for whatever reason. All technologies have risks, so it's important to make them all as safe as possible.

I think there’s a difference between bone conducting earphones and this new invention. Bone conduction still relies on your hearing while this one just stimulates your sense of touch. You won’t hear the music, but if you have a hearing loss you will get a new way to connect emotionally to the music.

The whole idea of hacking someone else's brain brings a sense of hopelessness about the future my kids will be in to me. We already have people taking advantage of others 'in daylight' add the option to do this with less risk of being caught, many of us bottom feeders are screwed. I'd imagine it would drive the hacked person crazy. I find tech fascinating but also know the nature of some people's humanity interpretation. I also know how well people follow rules. Quick someone tell me something positive. 🤣 I'm gonna go be a positive speck now.
