I mean if you’re gonna have that attitude, you might as well apply that to everything in this sub. Sexbots are almost certainly one of the easiest innovations to achieve, and they sort of already exist except for having really primitive AI systems. I guess if you want to speculate about global catastrophes then who knows what will happen but that could apply to anything, it doesn’t mean we shouldn’t make predictions. Also this may be a bit politically incorrect but I think the main reason most men don’t want to date a trans woman is because of them not passing well enough, in a fully transhumanist world where people could look indistinguishable from the opposite sex of their birth sex, I don’t think almost anyone would have an issue dating a trans person.

Sexbots may be here soon, but actual human-like companions though could only be achieved with AGI. And i'm not saying any global catastrophe is a certainty, i'm just saying there's no certainty that any of us will live tomorrow. There's no certainty that any of us will live to see AGI. Which is why we should live our lives for today, in the moment and cherish every second you have.

Even Trans women who do pass as women have a hard time finding straight men to date. Cis-Trans relationships are heavily stigmatized even in the West which is generally more accepting about these things, in more Conservative parts of the world forget about it. The simple fact of the matter is that most men are always going to prefer biological women, and most biological women are always going to prefer biological men. That doesn't mean there won't be exceptions to the norm, but this paradigm isn't going to change anytime soon.

The only way this paradigm ever changes is if humans merge with a super intelligent AI and through biological amplification reach the point where we're practically no longer human anymore. But of course that's speculative and may never actually happen.

Well I don’t necessarily agree with all your conclusions but it’s pretty speculative so who knows. I don’t think anyone here could predict how things will play out technologically and socially past the next few years honestly.

I agree, which is why I focus on living my life as best I can today, and that would be my advice to anyone out there.
