Yo ICU nurse here, this is more common than folks realize. It's part of why you should see a doctor at least every couple years, so we can at least catalogue some normals for you for when the check engine light inevitably turns on

If a patient tells you what their normal is, that's their normal

I've got poor people insurance and even though I have a primary, he's never available. I don't think the providers I'm seeing give a hoot about my history even though it's there. The Healthcare in my state is absolutely atrocious.

I think nurses are amazing. I have deep respect for ICU nurses especially. When my younger sister was passing, the ICU nurses went above and beyond. I can imagine there must be lots of hard work and a lot of emotions in that line of work.
