How is this area in general? Shopping, schools, safety, etc. For reference, my husband and I have a baby and a dog and are looking for a single family home (possibly new build).

I love it! Chester is the best shopping area in the city, in my opinion.
There are lots of cops sitting around out here, so drive safe.

Lots of places to shop and schools are good. North chesterfield is vast so depending on exactly where you’re looking , safety could vary. Sounds like it fits the bill for what your family is looking for.

I like my area of it well enough, wanted Henrico originally but didn't have the scratch for the type of lot/home in the area of Henrico we wanted to live in.

Been here since August, we definitely enjoy it a lot! Traffic could be better but I lived in Fairfax during college and that traffic was on a whole other level.

We've been in N Chesterfield for 15 years and love it. Near Bon Air/Huguenot/Robious. Good schools, great proximity to stuff and a short commute. We're in an older neighborhood with enough space from our neighbors, no HOA.
