LMAO well I went once after some IPA festival after 9 or 10 beers, way more than I normally drink. Had a shot of fireball and may have gotten sick at a bar table…

The bartender was not pleased as you could imagine.

That being said, the silver lining is she made a very cutting remark about my thinning hair (was unaware at the time) which basically got me self-conscious about it. Now I’m on Keeps and have a thick head of a hair again. Who knows if I’d be at this point had she not hurt my feelings like that.

A popular restaurant and bar near Virginia Commonwealth University’s campus will be closing near the end of January.

The beginning of this sentence must’ve been so surprised by the end of the sentence

Sure thing: https://app.keeps.com/

I do the basic plan which is a pill once a day and then this foam stuff (basically Rogaine) twice a day. You gotta stay with it but I started seeing some results after a month. I started seeing real noticeable results after 3+ maybe? I’ll post a before/after real soon.

Honestly surprised it stayed open this long. Hate to say it, but that place was so subpar in every aspect, I always felt the space was being wasted. glad it’s gone

Technically, I think the correct word order is post-ante-bellum, if we were speaking real english and not making jokes off defunct restaurants' names.

OK, i get it, i'm being no fun here...i'll see myself out!

Also for anyone who has issues with beard growth, minoxidil (keeps’ active ingredient) can stimulate beard growth! I went from not being able to grow a beard to a big fluffy boi.

And being a guy in Richmond, a beard of some kind is a must

Nope, nothing on my end.

I just signed up on the website. There was some quick questionnaire you do, take a couple photos for the doctor, and in a matter of minutes you’re approved. I looked the guy up and he’s certified and all that important stuff.

Honestly the hardest part for me is remembering to do the foam portion twice a day. It’s okay if you miss a day or so though.

nah. it was just ran into the ground. relied too much on large reservations to make money, but they didn’t have enough of said reservations. also pay was shit and they’d offer a raise and then take it back and not supply pay stubs thinking you wouldn’t notice.

Huh, was just there for dinner last night before going to the Richmond Forum with some coworkers. It was pretty busy for dinner, I’d never eaten there before and the food was decent. It’s been around for a long time, curious to know what shows up in its place.

You’ll lose your staff before you get to your close date. Also, it’s common enough for closing restaurants to stiff their purveyors that as soon as they find out you’re closing, a lot of places will either put you on COD and demand immediate payment of anything you still have on balance (most of the time you’re on 30-day terms) before they’ll do tomorrow’s delivery, or they’ll just cut you off entirely.

The owners/managers were cited for sexual assault numerous times and were otherwise abusive to their staff. Good riddance, burn in hell, et cetera.

I'm glad it worked out in the end, but fuck. I dealt with every manner of shitty customer as a bartender and I guess it never occurred to me to be like "you know what would make this gross, contentious situation even better? A personal insult solely for the sake of hurting feelings."

Ugh, I'll just go all bald. Lot easier honestly.

It met expectations in the "place to have a draft beer on a rooftop at sunset without driving downtown" category. Can't really screw that up, fortunately.
