Laundry services

Hey there. I am a social worker working with an older adult who is blind and has limited income. His laundry person is sick. He is in desperate need of weekly laundry services. I am working on long term solutions but those take time. His immediate needs are laundry and even possibly housekeeping (not 100% sure about the condition of his home). He has no family or close friends.

I am in search of some affordable laundry services, ASAP. Ideally pick up/drop off. It can be an individual or a company. Maybe a church that has a fund or something. I want to have something lined up for him as his method of contacting people is by memorizing numbers. I don’t want to overwhelm him with options.

If you message me and we can figure out a way for me to electronically transfer some money to this guy, I’d love to pay for his laundry services through one of these options mentioned for two weeks. Or I could probably arrange to prepay with Brooks.

Yeah that’s the challenging part as he lives alone and doesn’t have any caregiver support (yet). Ideally he could just call a service. I’m going to call around places today for pricing.

Puritan Cleaners does laundry. It's 3 dollars a pound. But I'd call and see if they have a sliding scale or anything to help in the financial situation.

They do weekly pickup/drop off too and send a text to ask if they should stop by
