Is this the thing Youngkin signed the other day? I'm surprised to see good things actually come from him.

This is not part of his announcement of a behavioral health package (which is primarily adjustments to the budget year that starts July 1, 2023), but his budget does seem not-bad in terms of behavioral health (it's pretty awful in my view in many other policy areas, and if he gets all his proposed tax cuts we may see future budget cuts hitting behavioral health).

The lobby is strong. They were at his doorstep day 1. Can’t be the Governor, in a purple state, that said, “I don’t care about that stuff”, and hope to remain in control

there's nothing left to cut

personally i think the future is behavioral health being more and more tied to courts and cops since they get the money

Different initiative but awesome that it's all converging on the same thing.

It has been fantastic that he's spent almost all of his time outside of the state campaigning for a bunch of people who lost their midterms instead of doing active harm here. But he still wants tax cuts for the people who should be paying the most and stricter birth control and abortion laws than Sharia...
