Hey all!
Anyone know of charitable organizations hosting charity galas or silent auctions in the Richmond area?
I'd love to get out and do something social while supporting a good cause along the way!

The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation has their Brewers Ball June 8,2023 at the Science Museum of Virginia https://finest.cff.org/Richmond (from last years event)
Comfort zone camp has a gala coming up soon.
In February, JDRF is hosting a gala at the science museum to support diabetes research https://www.jdrf.org/midatlantic/events/one-night-gala/
Thanks! Figured out how to buy tickets!
Darn! This does look pretty awesome! I'll plan to join next year!
Thanks! I'll look into it!
Thank you! Love the science museum! Hate diabetes!
You just missed Fetch a Cure’s Pets on Parade
Any idea whether buying tickets for these events is a charitable gift eligible to be used as a tax deduction? I wouldn't think so, but thought it wouldn't hurt to find out.
Edit: answer is, "it's complicated." https://www.tcfhr.org/is-the-cost-of-event-tickets-tax-deductible/#:~:text=As%20a%20general%20rule%2C%20if,of%20tangible%20value%20in%20return.
Unfortunately it was just a few weeks ago but the SPCA hosts a black tie Fur Ball each year
Sounds like I'm asking a few weeks too late for some of the events this year! Thanks!

You missed the Cattle Baron's Ball in October, but put it on your calendar for next year. It was always a lot of fun.
