Reddit r/rabbits is very active with lots of advice posts. I recommend you post questions there for rabbit care. I believe Richmond SPCA will take rabbits if you can't find the owner. Also try Richmond Animal League (RAL). And thank-you for helping out this cute bun.

Thank you very much! We're starting to think we may keep him, but I've added these resources to the note I'm keeping in case he needs specialty care etc

If you don't have any luck with either of them, another option is Bunny Lu Adoptions, a bunny rescue out of Warrenton (where I got my bunnies, when I had them.)
