So as the title says we ended up with a few hundred dollar credit from some COVID cancelled airbnbs we had booked. The issue is, we need to book something next year and since originally cancelling these trips we now have a toddler! I am hoping to get some recommendations for a fun 3-5 day trip within 6 hours (drive) of RVA.

Lots of good Airbnbs in western north Carolina. Or you could go down near Abingdon and do Grayson Highlands state park to see the wild ponies.

We had a fantastic time up in White Post this past summer with our 2 year old. We did Sky Meadows state park, Skyline Drive, plus the place we stayed was beautiful and peaceful in and of itself. I can DM you the link if you’re interested.

I keep eyeing Massanutten for our 2 littles. Especially in summer. Just a civilized cabin situation

Outer banks NC maybe but I don’t know what the air bnb coverage is like down there (there’s tons of weekly rentals but are mostly through property management websites)

There are tons of airbnbs, they just have a heftier tax than you’re used to. I rented a nice house for 10 people in April that was not much more expensive than a normal house on airbnb since it was off season.

Just did this in October and pleasantly surprised at all the options there.

I have an awesome AirBnB in the mountains southwest of Charlottesville — it’s a cabin on 75 acres with a hot tub, wood fireplace, etc. If you guys decide to book it let me know and I can offer a discount. https://abnb.me/hxRw3oZDJub

Fayetteville West Virginia has lots of hiking, climbing and river fun outside the newest national park. Worth consideration for sure.
