It's hard for me to fathom the desperate mind of a person(s) who gets into an accident, flees, and then carjacks someone.

Maybe they were already driving a stolen vehicle or had contraband in the car or are wanted by LE already, but damn, what a stressful life.

Oh you can be 100 percent sure the crashed car was stolen and/or they had warrants out for themselves already. That's the only reason you'd be desperate enough to go full 3 star wanted level over a minor traffic accident.

It's amazing how the asswipes who steal cars always are such terrible drivers that they crash them. You'd think your goal in a stolen car would be to not draw more attention to yourselves.

That's like 2 or 3 levels of thinking beyond what they're doing. The goal of stealing a car is either to use it in a crime so it can't be traced back to you, or to drive like an insane idiot for TikToks

I've worked in the prison system, this isn't an uncommon mentality. It's despicable for them to yell for "Help", play the victim & then carjack/rob them. The take-away lesson: "Have a plan to kill anyone you try to help". I work in EMS & try to take a constant role as a Good Samaritan, but at the end of the day, you should always have an escape plan & the means to defend yourself with a blade or bullets.
