As title says, I’ve been wearing glasses for a couple years as I don’t have insurance, any way to get an appointment for a prescription for contacts that won’t cost too much? Thanks!

+1 for sure. Dr Hong is awesome, he actually remembers you, I go every 5-7 years for contact and eyeglass prescriptions and he genuinely remembers our last conversations! super knowledgeable and professional. I think exams for contact lenses are less than 100 without any insurance.
edit to say: you don't need a costco membership to get appt. they are separate
In my experience, to buy specs/contacts from Costco, I needed a membership in the same name as the prescription
Correct, but for getting a prescription you don't. I just get the prescription there then purchase glasses/contacts online.
Oh, apologies. Misread your comment.
So you can go in, get a prescription to then order contacts elsewhere, and leave? ( after paying of course lol)
America's best has an eye care club. You pay a decent chunk upfront but you get free eye exams for 3 years and discounted glasses
And order your glasses online from Zenni- they're awesome and affordable.
Or EyeBuyDirect!
I go to Target. easy to make an appointment online and fairly cheap
If you need an eye exam and glasses Warby Parker in Short Pump Town Center does them. It was like 85 for the exam, 95 for the glasses.
Including contacts in the exam makes it $140 so you get two RXs and some savings for purchasing both products (or order wherever)
No insurance? That’s perfect
Wtf lol

The independent optometrist office attached to Costco is affordable! I've been using them without insurance. I think it was like 60-100 for a glasses and contacts prescription.
