Any idea when they're going to make a decision on which of the three Southside routes will be the next Pulse route?
I'm definitely rooting for the Midlo Tpke pulse route but I understand why Hull Street and Route 1 are both viable candidates.

I think they don't want hull Street since they wouldn't be able to take the lane.

Honestly I don’t see how they can realistically take a lane the full distance on any of the southern routes. Midlothian east of Belt is 4 lanes, Route 1 south of Chippenham is also 4. Make Route 1 a 2 lane road and see what happens when 95 shuts down and all the traffic dumps into it.

That sounds really nice and the kinda thing the US desperately needs more of. It hurts my soul to see so many of the Traditional Urban mixed use areas in my home of PR being left to rot and decay when they could and should be centers of public life like they once were.

Living over in this area, it would be really nice to see them tie it in to the surrounding neighborhoods so we can avoid some of the traffic.

Spring Rock Green? Oh, you mean Beaufont Plaza. Didn't they rename this like 5 years ago?
Also, Stonebridge? Oh you mean Cloverleaf Mall?
Also TIL the Youfit gym that opened there before COVID is listed by Google as "permanently closed"
Also for those wondering, this is not 'in' Midlothian, it's in northern Chesterfield County at the Midlothian Turnpike exit of Powhite Chippenham Parkway.
Edit: fixed powhite

Why would they use a name that hasn’t been used in five years?
xRVAx t1_jd3vlen wrote
It's Richmond. People still call the Landmark Theater "The Mosque" even though it's none of those names.
chasetwisters t1_jd3h4sl wrote
Its been way longer than that. It was renamed sometime late 2000's/early 2010's

Everything there is closed now except for the Dollar Tree. Not sure when they'll be forced out but it's just a matter of time

I just drove by there... It looks like the old dollar tree moved into the place where Conn's was???

Because the Youfit gym IS permanently closed.
And that is not on Midlothian and Powhite, it’s on Midlothian and Chippenham.

Thanks! Fixed.

I'm pleased to see this kind of dev replacing a giant parking lot. We need to get a Pulse line along Midlothian Turnpike and serving the Southside before this project finishes!
