Not looking for a coffee shop or something like that, but a place where it wouldn't be crazy to bring a laptop plus a monitor and be able to take a few calls without disturbing others. I'm in the fan so a spot nearer to that would be preferable, but I wouldn't mind a longer drive for a good spot since it's only for one day

While I didn't bring a monitor, and I haven't done this since last fall, the capital one cafe in carytown is decent. They have good wi-fi, pretty good coffee, and they also have an upstairs where you can work without having to deal with all the foot traffic of people who are walking in just to buy coffee.

The area libraries are good for this. I’ve used Staples Mill, Fairfield, and Richmond Main. You can reserve study rooms for up to two hours if you want a little more privacy for your calls.

This has been asked a lot lately, do a search. VMFA was a popular rec recently, but calls and a monitor might put you at Gather or common house
