The pharmacy at Kroger Willow lawn is driving me nuts in the usual Kroger way. I had to go back to them when Lafayette closed but they are actively trying to remind me why I don't like getting drugs at Kroger.

Has anyone used Westwood pharmacy for drugs? Or are they basically a restaurant at this point

I went there for a while, but you actually have to call to renew prescriptions because sometimes they just don’t check the online form you can fill out. They also won’t call you when your prescription is ready, and I found the pharmacy staff to be pretty rude. I would not recommend it at all. I really liked the Walgreens in Ellwood when I lived in that area.

I was at Walgreens until it turned out that my new insurance (Anthem) didn't have a contract with them...which is how I ended up at Kroger.

That’s wild. I also have anthem and Walgreens is my pharmacy. Not saying you’re wrong, just saying insurance companies are stupid.

Yea, the Walgreens person sounded like it was 'for this policy' sort of thing that Walgreens didn't have the contract. She told me I'd have to try CVS or Kroger. It was unexpected!

Depending how long ago it was, it may be worth asking again (if you’re not happy with where you are now). That kind of stuff changes a lot!

yea, it's been a month (or maybe 2 now)...so not too long. Walgreens Carytown was a better experience, but I'm finding Kroger to be cheaper.

That’s good! Love our health care system, where we shop around for better prices on necessary meds for living.

No they are not. Worked with several former techs there as well and they got treated like trash. You could try Publix, or if you’re trying to stay with small business, Bremo pharmacy.

I’ve heard the Publix pharmacies are great. My wife and I have been tempted to switch from the carytown kroger to the carytown Publix.

There’s no pharmacy in the Carytown Publix though? Unless I’ve been high as shit every time I’ve been in there.

Huh you’re right. I just assumed they had one.

I bet from my experience publix is great. But I think carytown publix doesn't have a pharmacy?

No. Once needed epilepsy medication filled. Called in to refill it, they looked up the prescription, said okay, it would be ready. I arrive the next morning and they said that my refills were out and I needed to call the vet for more. Yet they couldn’t have told me that the day before on a time sensitive medication? No way to know the prescription is ready unless you call, and I’ve always gotten either a child or someone who clearly doesn’t care on the phone.

And their in person customer service isn’t great. Granted, I was heated about them not being thorough and just letting my prescription ride, but I’ve experienced bad service before that incident.

I went in there years ago with a receipt to try to return a knee brace and the owner accused me of shoplifting it because the receipt wasn't itemized (?). He followed me around the store. I was wearing scrubs and my work ID. It was so bizarre. Never been back.

L I looked it up at the time, and it was a brother or a son or something. It's been a while though.
