Do I wait? Or just do it and get it over with?

My bf is a good guy at heart, but the chemistry just isn't there anymore. I haven't been happy in a long time, even before the hospitalization.

I want to do this as tactfully and graciously as possible.

Honestly, the dad keeps going in and out of the hospital. It's like a regular thing. The sky is blue, water is wet, bf's dad is back in the hospital.

I'd just pull that Band Aid right off then, no point in dragging this on longer. Just be polite, kind, and direct. If he wants to stay friends, I would say no in this scenario. Good luck.

Best not to wait. Like a bandaid, you need to rip of off quick to lessen the pain. No doubt he has other things on his mind and this will lessen his load, if he understands this has been a long time coming.
