My gf (22F) and I (24M) have been together for a little over two years now and it’s been a pretty good relationship. My problem right now is she won’t stop complaining. I get home and she’s complaining about her lunch, I get up in the morning and she’s complaining about her sleep,we have supper and she finds something to complain about then. I understand if something serious is going on and she wants to express some concern. But she is constantly nagging and complaining about things for hours a day. I lost my mother this week and it’s been very hard on me. My girlfriend was good for the first couple of days but now she’s right back to complaining nearly every hour. I’ve told her it bothers me and asked her to stop or at least cut down on the amount of time she spends complaining. This usually lasts a day or two and then it’s right back to her old behaviour. How on earth do I make it stop?

This is who she is. Do you want to listen to complaining for the rest of your life?

How can you make it stop? You can't. If she couldn't properly respect your grieving period, if she can't go a week without this incessant behavior, then it's probably a personality trait and not a fixable issue. It's up to you to decide what you'll do.
