They don't? I've had online relationships for decades. Some romantic, some not. You might need to take a hard, objective look at why these relationships failed for you.

I’m glad that your online friendships went well but I only been friends with the people I talk to online for a few months and these friendships ended because the person I talk to just lost interest in me and said that I was annoying. I basically don’t have anymore friends because of the pandemic and I do home school so this is really affecting both my mental health and physical health in a bad way

Maybe your sense of humour/tone don't translate well into the online space and it causes people to pull away from you. Online friendships tend to be easier for a lot of people to maintain, rather than the reverse. There's not as much expectation.

Yeah but at the beginning the online friendship with the person I was talking to went well and he even said he liked the company but now all of a sudden I’m annoying? I’m just confused on what I should do to keep my future online friendships from getting destroyed

Any idea what they found annoying? Obviously they share fault in this sort of thing, but you only have control over your own actions.

Personally I stay clear of people that are too needy in an online friendship. I have a life and other commitments. I might go months without talking to an online friend, then talk to them every day while we play a new game together. Nothing personal, but unless romance is involved there is an unspoken rule that online friendships are super casual. Cross that line and you're bound to push people away.
