How you speak about an individual when they are not around, is how you truly feel about them. Nobody should stay in a relationship when they are made to feel like a 2nd choice and are simply settling for them.

The date which the words are said is irrelevant, your bf is probably demoralized and his confidence is shot. How you speak about your bf, especially when he isn't in the same room says alot how you view him and whether you actually respect and as per what you said, you evidently do not.
