Long story short my boyfriend had asked me to get on birth control before moving in with him due to my excessive monthly cramps. We’ve been dating for a just over a year and a half and have lived with him once, but not for very long.

In the early mornings I would complain about how my cramps wouldn’t go away and it felt like pins and needles. Couple minutes goes by until he told me to get on birth control if we were to be together so my sickness/cramps wouldn’t get in the way of working/saving up money. I have been on b/c before, didn’t really have side affects but do know that they come with long term side affects as well even off of b/c. How should I tell him that being in b/c will be worse than actually have a cycle.

Overall I would say the relationship isn’t controlling and I do see where he wants me on b/c.. I just feel as though he doesn’t respect how I feel about it anymore.
