So we have a flea problem. A wild racoon or possum has taken shelter in our back porch. We didn’t discover this for a while and we were confused why we kept getting fleas despite treating our home and our cat.
Anyways, my husband recent cleaned out the mini shed and found the little critter. We threw out everything in that shed. We live in a town home so our trashcan was next to theirs. This morning, our neighbor said when she went to get into the car, she got many flea bites. She called me to notify me of this flea issues that seems to be from our trashcan.
I’m already distressed enough about the fleas because I have flea bite allergies but now i feel sick to my stomach that we have caused them to have this issue.
(Our neighbor has general flea issues due to many stray cats. I both feel responsible and also that it’s not fully my fault - or is it?) what should i do to help maintain the relationship with our neighbors?
