This is very sad. I feel terrible for his family and friends, and the people who tried very hard to get the word out and find him. Poor kid.

Hey, I knew Jeff well and can say every word about him in the article is absolutely true. He was such a solid guy with one of the hardest work ethics and good set of morals. He knew when it was time to get down to business and when it was time to have fun. He was a beast when it came to endurance sports, rowing, biking, running. Can’t believe he’s gone. Brown and Providence have lost an amazing person who will be missed deeply

Hopefully there will be more signage for safety if need be. Terribly awful and sad news. My heart goes out to his family and friends.

This was my first thought when it was first posted he was missing last thought to be in this area. Even during the day people drive on the wrong side with all the traffic changes around the bridge. The sinage on the ramps is pretty clear but maybe a car went to close to him and caused him to go into a closed ramp. Very sad.

There wasn’t a car involved at all. Check out the article.

How's would they know there were no witnesses.

A medical examiner would be able to tell if he was hit by a car. All they said was that his spine was fractured.

Didn't need to be hit by a car, just a car getting to close to him in the road to make him veer off as it's a construction zone. The bike lane on the bridge is very tight and is unprotected.

Ever heard the expression “if you can’t say anything nice, don’t say anything at all”?

Ironically enough, every time an adult has used that to another adult, they’re not really being nice either.

Ever understood the concept of inquiry? The question remains. What if the answer could help prevent future tragedies? We just don't know yet.

But the whole "thou shall not" approach is anathema to knowledge.

I for one hope the defunding of the police had nothing to do with this. Because if we find out it did…

I mean sure, but this guy died of a fractured spine. Maybe read the article before commenting.
