He has an eye infection and is currently being fostered by my roommate// we have too many animals currently and won’t be able to keep him but he’s so cute and needs a good home— he has an eye infection that is being monitored currently and he was taken to the vet for medication today for his lil cold

Hi OP, did you check the area for any other kittens? Sometimes going out with a can of cat food can bring them out. Thank you for helping him!

My roommate did! We couldn’t find any additional kittens or momma cat near by- my neighborhood has several strays and feral cats around and we keep an eye on them generally but this lil guy was alone

Update:: we have him on medication for his upper respiratory infection and as it clears up we will be checking on his eye, since it’s infected it’s closed up and the vet wasn’t able to check it, two weeks it should be cleared up and we are fostering him until he’s better! One of my roommates found a potential home for him with her friend in PA, which is a little drive away but hey kitten road trip!!! Until then we named him goblin and he’s a very active kitten so sweet and I’m just hoping his eye clears up!!!!

If he has a respiratory infection, he may have had trouble keeping up with his family and momma left him behind. Mother cats tend to ignore or abandon sick ones. My 8 month old kitten was also found abandoned on the side of the road with a respiratory infection and goopy eyes early summer in Scituate. She’s thriving now :)

Thank you!! That’s what we figured— that or the others also weren’t doing well and he was the one who made it! Either way he’s a lil survivor and I’m so thankful he was found and we can help him!!!
