My spouse and I have a very rare day off with childcare and want to take advantage. Are there any splurge-y restaurants open for lunch during the week?

Kin’s Southern table https://www.kinpvd.com/
Which day? some spots arent open everyday for lunch
No clue if they're open or not for Black Friday but Parkside is always a blast for lunch
Most likely a Friday
Kin was one of the most mediocre southern food I’ve had in my life. The cornbread tasted burnt and like… gas? The chicken sandwich I got was far too tough and sparsely seasoned. Only good thing were the fried green tomatoes. Everything else was less than mid.
Has a good lunch menu!
I agree with you. I really wanted to like it but it was just not great cooking.
Hemenways!! Downtown near the Brown/RISD campus. Great food and desserts, waitstaff are great, and you will feel fancy just by walking in that place, but not pretentiously so. It is very open with high ceilings and looks over the river. Try to get a seat on the water side near the big window
Any good southern style restaurants you recommend?
New England lacks a good fried chicken/bbq/southern restaurants
Came to second Massimo. 👍🏻
gee gees southern cuisine is decent!!!
Mare rooftop is a great choice!
Truly under appreciated spot downtown!
Opens noon Fridays And fun to shop on Hope street.
In Warwick. Exquisite. Mafaldine pasta is to die for.
Hemingways
Thank you this looks awesome
The place itself is nice but not plush but so wonderful. Outstanding wines too
Oh this looks good too!
Oh this looks good and we can even go to the RISD museum after
Cafe Nuovo is one of the best in terms of service and quality.
