Italian food on Federal Hill or try a new place, there’s a ton of great food in Providence so read up.

The Steel Yard is an industrial art space on Sims Ave. On Friday nights they have “Fab Nights” where you can go there to help them build metal sculptures for their annual iron pour event. Check them out on Instagram if you’re into that type of art.

Check out The Avenue Concept too. Their website has a map that shows you where you can find their featured public art pieces. They fund most, if not all, of the huge murals you’ll see around providence.

People get annoyed with the frequency of "I'm visiting/moving to Providence, what should I do?" posts. Don't let it bug you.

I wish we had a tag for these posts, both so people could filter them out and so that they're easier to find for folks looking for past suggestions.

Try searching the subreddit for the word "visiting," it turns up a few previous posts with suggestions.

You should check out the RISD museum. It's pretty small so it's easy to fit into a schedule.

Madrid European Bakery is great for pastries and coffee.

Be prepared for hills if you're on foot or biking.

Enjoy

>why is anyone downvoting this?

Because there are some pretty miserable people here. They see someone who appears to be enjoying life and it upsets them. So they downvote and I guess it gives them some satisfaction.
