Genuinely curious to see different answers and insights to this question! I know it will depend on people's ages and personal style, but I'd love to see how others like to shop at the mall!

For me as a 31 year old woman, it's Francesca's, Old Navy, Boscovs, and Bath & Body Works. Those are my personal favorites. 😎 Victoria's Secret has also impressed me recently with their sales!

If you asked me 15 years ago though - I 100% would have said Claire's and Borders bookstore (back when it still existed!) 🀣

What goes on in the restrooms at Providence Place Mall?

Serious question. Is it like Copley Place in Boston where the restrooms are used as a gay cruising spot?

DSW is the only place I buy shoes from AND the only reason I go to the mall, although imo DSW hardly counts as being part of the mall.

LensCrafters. They are so much better than any other eyeglass place in RI (sorry Warby but insurance speaks).

Providence Optical downtown will cut lenses for any frames you find online, including vintage. They were able to cut lenses for a few 1980's designer frames I have and was previously unable to find an optometrist willing and able to. They later did a run of some newer models that I found online.

Yeah I’m just trying to get some frames and lenses through my insurance…my insurance doesn’t cover $600 frames and probably for the best as I’d probably break them!

Use Eye Buy Direct. You input your own vision prescription details. They’re super affordable and good quality, and often have good sales.

Thanks! I am happy with LensCrafters. I find they are much better than the other chain optical stores here, or even some local ones like Adcanced Eye Care.

Eye Buy Direct is an online wholesale distributor.

I almost never go to the mall. My biggest draw has been DSW shoes and Old Navy

I honestly haven't found a reason to go to the mall. I've stopped in to check it out a few times, but most of the stores are outside my price range, or don't carry things that fit me right. It is easier for me to buy my clothes or other things online. None of the food is great. This is providence, our food scene is pretty on point, and PF Changs just isn't going to cut it.

I like the movie theater better than other local theaters, but my partner prefers to drive the extra fifteen minutes to Lincoln then deal with finding parking, paying for parking, and walking through the mall which takes that extra fifteen minutes anyways.

You know you can park at the back of Lincoln right? Cinema World has its own entrance.

KaleAlternative3500 t1_je4m3dt wrote

Absolutely! I was actually talking about finding parking then walking to the theater at Providence Place will take an extra fifteen minutes.
