I love Providence and don't regret moving here.

Nowhere in Providence is worth 4000 a month in rent.

Good lord, I was assuming it was $2000 total. That's not bad for providence "luxury" apartments. But $4k is ludicrous.

Lived here for 10 years and have a very fortunate household income. But I just can't stomach paying 4k to rent something that was probably 1700 a few years back.

OP, I think this is pretty steep for craigslist roommates PVD, so you might have better luck reaching out to other young people at your company or in other circles where there's a bit more high income 20-somethings. Reddit is def a good start, but maybe mention it at work that you're looking.

Appreciate the advice and thoughtful response. Unfortunately they’re all either wifed up homeowners or living in Boston lol

OP, are you talking $2000 each, or $1000 each? For an apt or house?

(Because most people spending $2000 on rent for an apt prefer a place to themselves)

Would be 2000 per person, which I get is prohibitive, and this post is in no way meant to be a humble brag (price is a stretch for me) was just hoping to leverage the internet to find some of the young professionals around town. Haven’t really organically met them in 2 years of being here. But I could never live alone, plus I feel like value on the east side goes so much further with 2+ people

I get that. I've visited people who rent a place together for the company. Good luck 🍀
