Grover

Hi. Due to unforeseen circumstances I must rehome this small goblin. His name is Grover. He’s 2yo. He talks and argues sometimes. He’s happy and energetic and wants to play or cuddle you. He’s very people oriented and likes to sleep either next to you or between your legs. He’s up-to-date with vaccines. He bounces when he’s super excited.

He would do best with another dog or cat. He would most benefit from a fenced in yard. He likes to go out to pee a lot. He does well in a crate, or in a room when you’re not home. He can be a chewer and will get himself into mischief. Like, he ate my glasses once, and my AirPods. It’s my fault for leaving them out.

Please message me. I will use the web based Reddit so I don’t miss the messages like I did with the apartment I posted. You can come meet him at our house in Pawtucket; bring your dog if you have one, or any kids.

Thank you.

Providence Animal Rescue League has a non-judgmental open surrender policy and they work very hard to find the best homes for animals with much success! I know this is a hard thing to go through from experience, but please consider going through them or another local rescue.

Best of luck!

Agreed on PARL, they’re wonderful! My dog was an owner surrender there 7 1/2 years ago because the previous owner couldn’t take care of him, and the person brought his previous veterinary records and was able to tell them about his behavior and needs so they could match him with the right family. It was really helpful for getting him settled in when he came home.

Good Luck! Make sure you charge a rehoming fee! A lot of people do that to make sure the dog doesn’t get adopted and used for some bad stuff.

Wait. What?

so, not always, but alot of times "bad" people may grab dogs that are up for free adoption for breeding/bait dogs/reselling. Not that a rehoming fee always stops this, but I think this is what this person was cautioning.

I know you're trying your best for Grover. I love Frenchies, lost my Boston this past Dec.

French Bulldogs are the most stolen breed right now.

Their popularity has exploded in the past 5-10 years. A man got murdered trying to sell one via craigslist in South Carolina.

I would talk to PARL. If you want, I can talk to FOHA (Friends of Homeless Animals, they specialize in smaller breeds). In either case, the adopter will pay a fee (not cheap) and by vetted. That Grover's best shot.

Sorry to be a Debbie Downer. I know your heart's in the right place.

Hi, I’m a cat owner at my current place, with a larger pet family with my Immediate family. I’d love to discuss rehoming the cutie further if you’re still looking for a new owner.

Oh my. He would fit in great with our Deimos (5 yr old Boston) and Casper (5 yr old westiepoo). I wish we didn’t have a 2 dog cap in our apartment :/

Good luck finding a home for him!!!!
