I woke up to my car window being broken. Nothing stolen and doors were still locked. This sucks. How should I go about this? Do you usually go through insurance to repair or will this increase my monthly payment? I already filed a police report. Thanks

If you have glass coverage, go through insurance. It shouldnt have too much effect on your payments.

Seems to be having an uptick. Used to park on Friendship a bunch when I had to go into downtown, last time I attempted there was probably three parked cars in a row with smashed windows and a whole lot of additional spots with glass in them. Needless to say, I did not park there.

I think with glass coverage, a side window still has $100 deductible but it won't change your premiums more.

I have geico, and have my side window smashed twice. I have comprehensive and glass, so I'm not sure if it changes anything but I never had a deductible for either occurrence. IDK.
