If you have glass coverage, go through insurance. It shouldnt have too much effect on your payments.

I think with glass coverage, a side window still has $100 deductible but it won't change your premiums more.

I have geico, and have my side window smashed twice. I have comprehensive and glass, so I'm not sure if it changes anything but I never had a deductible for either occurrence. IDK.

Could be? I've thankfully gone over a decade since my last smashed window after a string of -7-8 in 5 years, so I might be misremembering, but I thought I usually had to pay. Maybe not.

It's definitely going to happen to me this weekend because I said that now.

Seems to be having an uptick. Used to park on Friendship a bunch when I had to go into downtown, last time I attempted there was probably three parked cars in a row with smashed windows and a whole lot of additional spots with glass in them. Needless to say, I did not park there.
