I would recommend BAD FIT, its an art gallery right behind New York System in Olyneville

It is not. It showcases some student work in the student galleries. The rest is curated to showcase contemporary art by mid career artists and they have an extensive permanent collection dating back to the renaissance period.

I’d be interested to find out where you show up for support!

AS220 was originally conceived as an open gallery where anyone could have a one-person show for the asking. Not sure how it works now but I doubt its core tenet had changed.

It has a cafe/bar. Just go check it out and ask. I'm sure the website has info too.

There are also gallery-like spaces. I once had a one-person show for a month at a bookstore / cafe space. Some banks also offer gallery space.

Good luck!

Many local libraries in RI have gallery spaces that show local artists. Good luck!

I too throw my support to Bad Fit. Great, funky space in a great location run by artists and great people who give a damn.
