So if this city is such a warzone, why don't you just move away? You're clearly a person who is very sensitive to the comparatively-low level of violence in contrast to other major cities, so why don't you leave? Might do you and the rest of us some good.

Not everyone has the means to up and move, however much they may want to/should. It's hard enough for a minimum wage worker to just get by these days, let alone have the ability to take time off to find somewhere to live in another town.

The entire city isn't a war zone. Like with most cities, there are safe and unsafe parts. This recent spike in violence, however (especially in the middle of the winter like this), should be a concern to anybody living in ANY part of the city.
