Well I have two sons and a fiancé one 5 the other 1 years old. I’m really looking for a family orientated area and west mifflin had good prices but everything sold. Or needs serious help sewer wise.

Inventory is very low right now so if you have time to wait you may want to wait, especially with the interest rates up

When I was looking at a single family house for my family one of the neighborhoods that we saw things around that price was Swissville.

You got a school age fiancé, check the school districts first. Booth those areas are Woodland Hills. Propel is one of the charter schools for that area.

My kids go to woodland hills. It's not the 90s anymore, that district is ok.

This wasn't the 90's either and school rankings are public information. Woodland Hills High School is ranked within the bottom 50% of all 2,797 schools in Pennsylvania

I have no skin in the game, and frankly, I didn't say anything bad about the district, just that prospective homeowners research their schools.

The first article:

It's also from several years ago. My daughter is a senior right now, and my son is a sophomore. So this was before they attended the high school. I do remember hearing about it at the time though. It seems to me that they've fixed that problem.

Those school rankings don't tell the whole story either. As I said, my kids go there. I'm familiar with the academic environment. It's a large, and diverse school district. Achievement varies, but the education offered is fine.

Do you work in west Mifflin?

Not at the moment. Job offers there’s and downtown Pittsburgh. Im an electrician, confident if I find a good home I can make it work anywhere.

Bellevue is 10-15 mins from downtown and a decent family area. Affordable living

Ok I would never move that far down 51 unless something was making me (family/work). I would live in crafton or Ingram with your budget
