I’m hosting a birthday and need some basic party balloons. Apparently there’s a global helium shortage so helium balloons are harder to find than normal.

Where do you get your balloons in Pittsburgh? Preferably in the east end or within a 30 min drive.

I’d love to support one of the local shops in Lawrenceville but they’re so expensive - over $30 for 10 inflated latex balloons.

Just because there’s a shortage doesn’t mean there aren’t places that sell balloons. I’m just trying to avoid Party City and shop more locally or DIY-friendly. Sure, if I can’t find any elsewhere I’ll go to Party City or skip them.

I've had good luck with the party city in millvale in the past! You could try giving them a call?

I know helium balloons are fun but it is insane that we use them in balloons we are running out and it is needed in MRI machine helium balloons should be illegal

Next time, when you've got "Best" in your title and you follow it with the above, just say "cheapest" and save everyone the trouble.

No, you're not. You already said places in Lawrenceville were too expensive. You want cheap helium balloons.

You could go to the "adult" store on Liberty Ave and get a box of whippets for some real party balloons.
