Our area is Stanton Heights btw. And if any redditor browsing has a favorite plumber in the east end I'm definitely open for recommendations

Thanks for the rec - the pipe is capped for now but they are coming out to hook it back up to the hot water tank next week (earliest we could get - we have cold water so can do most everything else but showering at family for a week!)
